[Somewhere on the streets of Satellite a heap of trash (mostly old cardboard boxes and bits of paper) shifts slightly. A low groan audible from somewhere underneath as whoever is in there works on digging herself out.]

I took the corner too fast this time, didn't I?

[And with one last sigh Aki struggles to her feet, wiping dirt and muddy slush

[She might hear a slight chuckle echoing through the street. Yusei has been hiding in the shadows of the alley, has watched her pick herself and the bike up and he finds this a very, very amusing picture. As much as he cursed the island for holding him and his brothers captive, he couldn't praise it enough for delivering him his favourite Signer, especially when she seemed to ready herself for their duel. Because nothing amuses him more than riling up Izayoi and making sure that she and her powers would be at their strongest when the time for their fight came.]

I'd say, you still need some practice, Izayoi~

Yusei?...

[She turns slightly towards the sound of his voice her eyes widening as she gets a good look at him and everything, the eyes, the red mark curling down his cheek, registers. Fighting not to fall back a step even as her fingers convulsively tighten on the bike's handlebars. This is impossible. Granted, here surroundings alone are impossible but this is even *more* impossible and she struggles to speak around the sudden dryness in her throat. Her voice tight when it finally comes out.]

Yusei... how? How are you?... You can't be.....

[For a moment he feels disappointment, his Aki had found out by now just where his allegiances lay; she wouldn't react in shock. However the pure and utter terror on her face and in her voice is enough to redeem that; it is such a lovely expression after all, one that he cannot see often enough. He folds his arms and tilts his head slightly, playfully.]

Why shouldn't I be, Izayoi. After all, it's thanks to you~

No. [She gives her head a shake, forcing her voice to steady, as she stares at him.] It's impossible. The Dark Signers are gone. It was over, Yusei. We beat them. There's no way....

You can't be like this.

[Rounding another corner leading onto the street Aki is moving along, she just might recognize Sherry's D-wheel as well as Sherry upon it. Catching a glimpse of Aki, Sherry brakes and, without getting up, removes her helmet from her head, a smile playing on her lips.]

Aki Izayoi. What a pleasant surprise.

[Why she certainly does recognize Sherry. And she almost looks a little bit awkward standing beside her own bike, still smudged with mud. This is very much *not* how she wanted to meet Sherry again. She smiles though, even if she is having trouble meeting Sherry's eyes.]

It is. Although.... I certainly wasn't expecting to run into you here.

[Not that she really knows *what* she was expecting. She's still a bit disorented.]

[Sherry dismounts her D-wheel, standing it on its own and striding to her gracefully.] The feeling is mutual, but it's quite the relief. I've run into nothing but doubles of people I know.

Doubles? [Well now she's going to look even more confused. Studying her surroundings with even more concern. First the sudden change in venue and now Sherry seems to be talking nonsense. Maybe she knocked herself out when she crashed.] What do you mean, that doesn't.... It doesn't make any sense.

[Aki might want to watch out. That mark on her arm might start lighting up and searing badly all of a sudden...]

[Aki hisses a bit in pain. Her hand reflexively moving to cover her mark as she quickly looks around for the source of the threat. The mark hasn't reacted this violently to anything in months, even with the current strange occourances.]

Who's there?

[Suddenly, there is silhouette near another pile of garbage...]

Witch.

It's been awhile.

[That voice is familiar. Although the coldness, the hatred there, that... that she hasn't heard since.....]

What? Misty-san? Is... is that?....

[fledglingrose]

[There may be someone hiding nearby, going "o.o" at Aki as she dusts herself off. Someone's making her mark glow a bit. Someone...short.]

[Aki absently rubs at her arm. It is tingling just a bit. That vague sort of warmth that's almost ignoreable now that comes from one of the other Signers being nearby, but she figures it must be Yusei or Ruka. They *had* been there watching her before her epic bail. She'll be looking about intently now. Perhaps she'll stumble across little Aki as she starts peering into nearby alleys.]

Yusei? Ruka? Rua? Are you there?

....No one's here!

[...]

[She blinks a little at the voice. It sounds awfuly young, but not like Ruka. Not to mention if it *had* been, Aki's fairly certain the girl wouldn't be hiding. She'll be walking towards it now. Frowning a little, but still trying her best to sound friendly.]

It's all right, you don't have to hide. I won't hurt you.

Yes. You take a failure bail like that and you're trying too hard, Izayoi.

Niisan, don't be rude...

[Both voices have a hint of familiarity to them...but one is harsh and cold, the other is light and soft...and yet they both sound like the same person...?]

What? Yusei, is that?...

[And as she turns to face the owners of those voices she blinks a bit. And stares. And blinks again. And stares some more. Because, really, this is not something you see every day.]

What... What's going on?

[The one with the harsher voice leans back against a D-Wheel that should look familiar-except it's black with silver lining. He looks like some sort of horrid inverted version of a close friend...who's standing right next to him working on a familiar red and white D-Wheel.]

Wouldn't you like to know.

Niisan, I think she would like to know.

They all do.

Yusei? [And she's looking to the one that is obviously recognizable for some answers, although not without shooting the other some very wary looks.] What is going on? Did.....

Did you just call him?.... [Her brain. It is on the verge of very broken.]
