Seriously that's your view on "Mists of Avalon"? I've read it 3 times and didn't find it at all preachy. I adored it. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Well, it's my view on the first hundred or so pages before the story is even about the narrator. Apparently the semester started before I actually got to the good part. It was quite saddening, because I had been wanting to read the book for quite a long time. I might give it another try when I'm not trying to squeeze a year's worth of pleasure reading into two weeks to see if the Point becomes less invasive when the story actually gets moving.
