Thank goodness for progress

Because even a few months ago, finding out someone (referred to as X) had posted this about me would have totally broken my spirit.

Now i'm simply amused.  Well, okay, a small part of me wants to indulge in revenge, but that part of me is small yet influential enough that all i'm going to do is post it here, chuckle over it, and feel sympathy for ( Read more... )

He's trolling. He's being a douchebag. He thinks that he can get away with it. That sums up X to me.

Plenty of people say he's a good guy when you hang out with him in person, but I generally don't give people a pass just because they act one way in real life and another way online.

Don't let it bother you and don't feed the trolls. :)

Troll online but nice person IRL? Yeah, I agree with you, that seems...unlikely. :D

The fact that he finds it amusing to act the way he does (online) guarantees that I have no interest in meeting him IRL. What amuses him will not change, though he might be less blatant about it.

Or in other words, being a great guy IRL does not give you a pass to be a scumbag online.

He's got a serious thing for you. Look at him going waaaay out of his way to bring you into conversations discussing sex. Have you met him in person and did he pull your pigtails or try to pass you a note? (am I a douche? check Yes or No) ;)

But seriously, sounds like he's interested.

And I didn't know about that B&N "porn for women" display. That's hilarious!

you know I agree with both of these... it's not worth feeding the troll... afterall, I don't feel like hearing his wife go on about how horrible divorce is again;)

He's on another fucking planet. I'm not sure how sex is anti-social in the first place. Doesn't sex by definition require another person?

Oh, good grief. I'm glad you're not letting this bother you, because he's either calculatingly misrepresenting you to try to get other people to attack you or he's such a complete psychological mess that he actually thinks "Porn can be a good thing" equals "Yay rape!"
