Pennsic Panic Part 1

Jul 15, 2009 20:43

So, there are less than 2 weeks left before we head off to Pennsic.  I am feverishly trying to get my house clean, find all of my camping gear/SCA stuf, and finish the few sewing projects left.  This year I declared that I am going to Pennsic with whatever garb I have and not making any more.  That being said, I need to finish the padded gloves for ( Read more... )

I am excited, in between being panicky about the amount of things that I still need to make/acquire in order to go. Like shoes that actually fit Aeryn since she suddenly outgrew everything. Like warm enough sleepwear for her since she refuses to sleep under blankets anymore. Like "howinthehell am I going to manage for 10 days with a potty-training toddler and no washing machine (and no, pull-ups aren't a viable option unfortunately)" And that's not even counting the 6 week old. Though I'm not particularly worried about him because I provide all his nutrition and he doesn't need shoes. Though flying with the two of them is going to be nuts.

So I'm petrified and I'm excited, both.

Hey, I want to learn how to make those smocked aprons I've seen you wear. After Pennsic would you be willing to give a girl a lesson?

The husband has pretty much settled on 14th c. and I know I am going to have to have a couple outfits to match him at some point.

Sure, I would love to. If you want to come by the camp, I will be sewing them at Pennsic. so if you just want to relax and hang out, come on by. This year, due to extenuating circumstances, I am camping at Dancing Fox just down the road from Troll and A&S, accross from Concordia, next to Silver Horde.

Sure! I'll come over and find you there! I am often down in that neck of the woods of Pennsic.
