Poetry Fishbowl Report for June 19, 2012

Jun 23, 2012 17:01

The theme for this bonus fishbowl was Hart's Farm.  Special thanks to aldersprig for sponsoring the lovely new icon, and to meeksp for drawing it.  I have updated the Serial Poetry page to link the sponsored poems and list the other ones in my best guess of chronological order.  A handful of prompts arrived early, and others trickled in during the day.  A total of 10 people sent prompts.  There were 29 comments including mine.  I worked from noon to 3:30 AM on Tuesday, so about 13 hours 30 minutes; and then a little more on Wednesday.

I wrote 9 poems on Tuesday, 2 more on Wednesday, so a total of 11 for this fishbowl.  Most of those were epics, and the rest were long poems.  Almost all used multiple prompts.  People gave me ideas that mixed well, so some prompters got theirs used in several different poems.  Everything was free verse.

Donations went well this time.  The tally met the $100 goal for a free $15 poem.  " What the Starships Do Not Know" has been posted for that perk.  The generally sponsored poetry poll has also been posted.  There were no new prompters or donors in this session.
