WOW, massively sucky day at work.  Yes.  I'd rather not relive the details, but let's just say I totally lost it in my supervisor's office at last; they asked me to do too much, and I hit a wall.

But, y'know, maybe this was a good thing; I honestly and truly shocked my supervisor (not my Big-Boss but my Sub-Boss; Big-Boss is on vacation right now) ( Read more... )

**hugs back** That they do. I think my Zombie!Nun costume has metamorphed into a Zombie!Gravedigger, though; the bloody headdress is just too uncomfortable. So I shall carry a skull and a shovel.

1. Crying in front of people is Teh Suck. Flat out!
2. Where are the zombies? I have camera and am ready to record this for posterity(?)...or at least for my own personal edification.

1. It is indeed Teh Suck. Some people can do it gracefully; not me, I dribble all over the place, twitch and snivel and turn red. But it just got to be too much.
2. And the zombies begin at Club Congress at 6 pm! And end there, and there'll be a zombie-themed band there for afterward (though I think I'll be heading over to Meg's to eat chocolate cake. The Undead thrive on chocolate.)

Embarrassing, majorly. Well, it may not make the best memory, but let's hope the shock of it all will drive thru the minds of your bosses how much work you do, and how not everything can be done by one person...

Reminds me of the whatchamacallit: people always want to hire an eighteen year old Einstein with no prior work experience (since he's cheap to hire and won't have different work experience which needs changing) or something like that.

Anyway, hope the week will look up for you, Ysabet!

Thanks; and, well, today's Friday, which is a good start right there.

And yeah. I like my job most days, even though I deal with depressing stuff (deaths, AWOLs, physical/sexual abuse allegations, physical injuries, etc., all from mental health patients); it's just that I've pretty much created my own position from scratch and I'm it, nobody else does it. And the more I do, the more there is to do, and the more it's needed and the more there is to report and the more those reports are necessary... and the caseloads get bigger and the population grows, and-- well. You see the problem. The reward for doing good work is that they give you more work to do.
