NYC, Day 3

Aaargh.  Am (mostly) taking a day off-- am just going to Kinokuya (Japanese bookstore) and a Japanese bakery or two, and mmmmmaaaaybe the Twin Towers monument.  Decided last night very seriously that I Need A Day With Very Little Walking, as my calf-muscles keep trying to seize up.  Should NEVER have gotten impatient with lines and climbed stairs ( Read more... )

**leans into petting** Oh, I've already worn myself out several times over; and I didn't get to HALF of what I had planned today-- instead I went shopping at the Chelsea Market, which was rather neat but one *hell* of a walk (groanwincewhine) but netted me some very nice candy and fruit, as well as two really beautiful souvenir mugs. Gotta have mugs.

You walked up?! I walked down because only one elevator was taking people down. All that walking must have made you a little crazy.

Those photos of Central Park are pretty. ! kind of wish we had time when we were there to go.

Might I recommend the Staten Island Ferry? It's free and it goes back and forth. You can sit and take in the Statue of Liberty as you pass it.
