NYC, Day 3
Aaargh. Am (mostly) taking a day off-- am just going to Kinokuya (Japanese bookstore) and a Japanese bakery or two, and mmmmmaaaaybe the Twin Towers monument. Decided last night very seriously that I Need A Day With Very Little Walking, as my calf-muscles keep trying to seize up. Should NEVER have gotten impatient with lines and climbed stairs up the last 6 stories of the Empire State Building yesterday; my own stupid fault.
Gods. Amazing view. Oh, to have had wings... I'm so glad I'm not afraid of heights. Afraid of them? I LOVE them, they feel weirdly secure. And I could've stayed up there for hours and hours and hours, just looking off across all that open sky...
So: I'll let the pictures tell the story. I goofed off around Central Park again afterwards, just prior to getting monumentally lost on the subway once more; I seem to be making a hobby of the latter. Anyway, here, pics!
