Happy Holidays!

Dec 24, 2008 16:40

For Christmas this year, I designed a special display for the lobby of the Cursed Library.  I wanted to take a moment on this special night to share a photo of it with all my friends near and far.

Behold the "Tree of Cranes" Christmas Tree!

Oooooooooh! That is absolutely fabulous! I love the whole thing, concept to execution. You are so talented. The Cursed Library is very lucky to have you and your dedicated henchpeople ruling over it.

Thanks! I think it's pretty awesome. I'm going to hate to take it down after the holidays are done.

Yeah, I actually have a pretty great crew. They're all hard workers with great attitudes and they gladly enable me in my crazy schemes.

Beautiful! Our library has a tree with some kind of certificates all over it, probably one of those "sponsor a child for Christmas" deals. Sorry, but certificate trees just don't say "festive." There's a serious lack of imagination at that library, but that will change when my volunteer application finally makes its way through the approval process.

I covet that paper in the close-up picture. Actually, I want cloth with those paper patterns on it. They're really pretty. And I must remember to get out the cranes you made me years ago. There's a whole bag full of them. I've been meaning to get myself a mini tree for my bedroom and put the cranes on it, among other things, but never committed to a tree (I want a white one, and they're hard to come by in the right shape and size).

Glad you like it! There's something to be said for having OCD! ;->

Yeah, your library's tree sounds snooze-a-rific! Some people have no imagination.

Of course, you'll liven the place up if they take you on as a volunteer. You're way too clever by half. They're not going to know what hit them.

What size and shape of a white tree are you looking for? I will keep my eyes peeled during the after Christmas sales.

That is a beautiful tree. Well done my dear. Quite some time ago I used to dabble in origami. I can understand your joy with it. A very merry Christmas to you and your Mother.
