His parents have only just now dropped him off at the Academy's buildings, on their turf. He already doesn't like the feeling of this place, but he decides against complaining on it, as it won't do him any good. He's waiting amongst other students, except he's sitting on the ground with his back against a wall

He almost jumps, though, when the other boy settles in next to him. There's a moment where he merely stares at the other but he finally resides to speaking, "It is. The way they talked it was going to be brilliantly entertaining. But I don't think so."
He glances over to the boy and notices just how messy he appears. "Aren't you going to get in trouble for that?" Not that his own were much cleaner. He's been laying around on the ground for a while, so his will be terribly dirty, too.
But there was something about this boy that intrigued him, that made him even grin just a little bit. Which might actually look a little odd on his face, as he's always giving a straight expression.
"What are you in for?" Maybe this kid was recruited, too. Maybe his parents sent him off to this horrid place as well.

"You should be," he starts as he moves don the hall. "but.." He looks to the two of them and winks. "We'll wave it off for now, as long as the both of you don't wander off again. Do you think you can do that?"
Theta nods vigorously, relief clear on his face. "Mmhm, we promise, don't we Kosh?"
Don't mind if his fingers were crossed behind his back, really.
The Time Lord nods and keeps walking. "Prydonians, the both of you," he explains as they head for the boys new quarters. "Your things have been left in your room already and packets explaining the agenda for the next few days along with your schedules are on your beds."
Stopping at a door, he rests his hand on the knob before turning to look at the little ones. "Welcome home, boys." And he opens the door, revealing the room they would be sharing, at least for a while.

He follows the Time Lord obediently, looking around with wide curious eyes, memorizing the corridors and the pathways.
When the door to the room is opened, he peeks in before grinning widely at Theta. He got to room with his new best friend-- of course he was pleased!
Turning to the Time Lord, he smiles, really, honestly smiles. "Thank you." As much as he wants to contain himself, to be polite in front of the Time Lord but he runs into the room, examining everything. It's obvious by his eyes that he's got equations filling his mind, because that's how it works.
Everything is mathematical, logical, rational. He always makes sure that everything works before trusting it.
He's a special kid.

Sure he'd read their files but files don't tell the half of it, he knows that, especially the ones on this pair.
Theta moves to give him a quick hug, a gesture that catches the Time Lord off guard.
"Thanks a lot," he says quickly before darting into the room after Koschei.
The Time Lord just shakes his head, laughing at the two and giving them a quick wave before shutting the door and goes to inform the other teachers that there was no need to search anymore.
Meanwhile Theta has kicked off his shoes, tossed the papers that lay on the bed (he immediately gravitated towards the one closest to he window but if Koschei really wanted it, he knew he could switch) and climbed up on the bed, bouncing once or twice before grinning.
"These are good," he announces before he moves to jump a little higher, grin wide and quite pleased. "C'mon, Kosh, jump with me ( ... )

"Are they?" He watches Theta a little curiously, almost as if he had never seen such an act before. And, chances are, he he hadn't.
He's a little hesitant at first, but he takes the other boy's hand and climbs up onto the bed, grinning widely. Soon enough, he's jumping, keeping hold of the boy's hand as he does so.
"This is good!" He laughs. He feels silly and childish, but it feels amazing all the same.
