Fic recs [OOC]
I rarely rec fics, but sometimes, I find some that really ping my muses and my own interpretation of them. This especially co-relates to Schwarz because their canon is such a small thing in existance, leaving so much to your own imagination. And when I find fics that have these amazing thought up plots about like for example the initiation of Schwarz, the growing up of the characters, their life OUTSIDE the actual series and even continuations from after the series' end, I can't help but build some sort of stable world around them, involving the canon and fleshing the missing information out with tidbits from here and there in a few of the most amazing fics portraying characterization and Schwarz as more than just the bad guys.
As a reference, the direct quote "We've become Schwarz the Sitcom" (from Glass Houses) tells so much of how I feel about these fics. They get more character, more personality and are not only looked upon as cold, heartless bastards, even if that is a charming part of who and what they are. That and some of these have parts that leave me weeping on the floor as well as laughing my ass of because it's so damn hilarious.

Rosenkreuz... Sweet Rosenkreuz

Newest fic discovered, and one I am eagerly reading right now. This fic follows the start of the team that is going to be called Schwarz. Mostly from Schuldig's point of view and his initiation into Rosenkreuz and Essett, meeting Crawford, being incorporated into Rosenkreuz camp and (to me) a very realistic way of showing how he grows from being a normal and uncertain 12 year old kid, gifted with a to him weird power, into Schuldig, the sadistic and cold blooded telepath of a assassin team. This focuses on Schwarz and show's their human sides as well as their villain sides, and Schu's a mother hen to Nagi, and it's done ICly and just... ffff without further spoilings, I want to direct you to read it instead. So go go go. It's not!one of the best fics I know about. It's completed, and at 61 chapters. Some issues with spelling and whatnot, but this can certainly be overlooked~

Glass Houses

Probably will be my most favourited Weiss Kreuz fic of all times. This deals with after series happenings, bringing not only Schwarz into the light, but Weiss as well, a well thought out and veeery deep and complicated plot. It puts every character into their own light and gives everything time to happen. There are includes of new characters, no Mary Sues, and just general Schwarz sexiness. Has sprouted to me some of my weirdest OTP's for the series. Aya/Farfarello is one of my fav pairings after reading this fic, and it's with good reason I can say this. Schwarz uses it's time in this fic to find a way to overthrow Rosenkreuz and for this they need Aya and start incorporate him into the team while he's being at his most vunerable, emoing over his sister never waking up and yada yada Takatori shi-ne. The fic braids in canon happenings BEAUTIFULLY and really describes what happened inbetween these canon happenings, twisting the story a bit and including every single part of it, for example the stabbing of Aya at the end of Gluhen, which is now converted into Aya actually not being the emo self there, never getting stabbed, the stabbing a part of an intruige against Schwarz and etc.
This fic currently sports around 250 chapters, and latest update was 2009-03-31 SO IT'S STILL GOING, and I need to go read more. The fic started out 2003, and has thus been going on for 6 years already. Damn. I love it so much and I can't begin to say how happy I am that it's still alive. And going strongly plot-wise as well. The many pairings going cross all over the fic actually only adds to it~ I like to see this fic as an alternative ending and continuation of the actual canon series. Man, if only this was canon. It'd be so epic.

This is one of the more gory fics out there and I don't recommend it if you're squeamish. Deals with mainly Schuldig vs Farfarello and some fleshing out as to what Farf's ability can be as a talent. It deals with character angst, Schuldig being stuck with Farf as his lifeline, Schuldig going insane because of this, many gory detailed deaths and fights and very intricate detailing of what Farf dreams of; an alternative world with monsters and fear and whatnot. I highly recommend this fic if not only because it's really worth reading if you're interested in insanity and other general things connected to mental unstable happenings and Schuldig/Farf in general. This is not a fic for those seeking porn. This thing has depth and disturbance and darkness and I like it~

I... I can't begin to describe, but this is the best AU Schwarz/Weiss fic that I know of, and it has StarGate references! :D Ken wakes up after a mission gone wrong and finds himself in bed with... SCHULDIG of all people, in a complete new world and mindset to him. Having ended up somewhere Schuldig is no the villain he is in Ken's normal thoughts, and where Ken is not the same assassin, let alone the same person. Having now replaced a sadist version of himself and slowly trying to understand his situation as well as getting to know this new Schuldig, Ken have to decide what to do with his situation. Deals with the entire Schwarz STILL being Schwarz as we know them, only on the good side, and still sexy as hell. Read read read. I love this fic to bits and it is one of the very very few, if not the only, fic that has Ken in it and makes him interesting. ♥
Pairings: Schuldig/Ken, implied Farfarello/Nagi, implied Brad/Yohji... if I remember correctly? and there might be others.
Gunning Down Romance

It's been a while since I've read this one, but it's one of my favs from that particular author, and I still remember it kind of perfectly. It's about Schuldig and how he goes after Aya for a reason known only to him and Nagi for a few chapters. Schuldig and Nagi seem to be living on their own for some reason unknown to Aya, and after being cornered and finally actually accepting being some sort of pawn to Schuldig, Aya realizes that everything isn't what it should be. I won't give more spoilers than this, so go read instead~ ♥

Temporary Peace

Mission goes wrong, Aya loses his memory and ends up with Crawford and Schwarz. He gets a new view on the enemy team and it's a very very cute portrayal of Crawford slowly letting him into his shell. I really like this one and memory loss in general is something I like when it's being played with.

Peace's Struggle

Sequel to "Temporary Peace" where Aya gets his memory back and is lost in a struggle of choosing sides, being left hanging in the middle of Schwarz and Weiss.
