At least music theory eventually ends :) I had to take 5 quarters I think of theory and then I had to take 16th century counterpoint which I did terrible in because it has tons of rules when composing.

Yeah, we have to take four semesters of Music Theory, then Form & Analysis (two semesters, I think), then senior year we get to choose from either Counterpoint or Orchestration. I'm definitely going for Orchestration. =)
