I was almost the exact same way growing up. Into my own little world, expressing myself artisticly and not really reaching out and connecting on a human level. I wasnt anti-social, or its not like I didnt have any friends, I just never considered my friends true friends

I didnt mean you were anti-social. I said that, cause it may have come off that I was. But I was like you, I always felt alone even in the cirlce of friends. Maybe not alone, but almost as if no one really understood me.

Hey Gorgious, I just finished reading your post and what I got from it was a beautiful already talent great human being with lots to give and lots to learn yet lots to be happy for because you as a person has come such a long way from being the person you used to be. reading what you wrote made me think of my past, and how I grew up = Learning, Focusing, wanting to express, and yet still trying to drive me own deliverance into the world. I dont think you have lost your passion in any sense ! Rather it be art, rather it be expressing your thoughts, your emotions, your deeds, everything is almost like a symbol of art. Even in your writing it shows that you to have develope an artistic way of expressing yourself within yourself. So what you havent painted in a long time - so what you havent played the piano in so long - but those qualities and those aspirtations still live in you. They are still their and I am sure they are still buried within your soul - you just have to bring them to life again.

Thank you for your comment, I guess it's just that I've noticed that I'm not as expressive, creative and most of all, passionate as I used to be..

Lots and lots of comments! Anyways, I used to draw a lot and everything, I still write though. I have always been shy, but i'm working really hard at becoming extroverted. It's really hard for me to do that because i'm so much more concerned with other people and not myself. I don't want to offend anyone or be boring. And then i start thinking about what they are thinking about me and i just can't be wild and crazy like i am with people i'm really good friends with.
On the talent subject, if it's a natural talent then you never lose it. If you really want to start some of that up again, just start at the beginning. If you want to play piano then start with teh scales and that kinda stuff. You'll get it back if you try. Even if it's not a natural talent, if you practice and work at it you can get better. I just started doodling again, trying to do something other than a barn or smiley faces. It's fun to get back to something you did once. Bring back bunches of memories.

I think we all get trough stages like this...and of course we change trough life... but I think these times when we stop and start analyzing ourselves are the moments that defines us as persons and our vision of life...
