Most every episode has Neal going undercover into some bad guy's lair as his con-man self, but why doesn't EVERY big-time criminal know that he works with the FBI? I imagine word

I totes did a double-take when I saw Charles Malik Whitfeld. SO WEIRD to have him beating up Neal. WHAT!

In regard to Neal being recognized -- considering how large the world of con-artists and fences and criminals appears to be, I'm not surprised that guy didn't recognize him. Of course I am happy to buy almost anything White Collar throws at me because it pretty much lines up slash tropes one by one without my asking. 1x12, Neal gets to dress Peter up in a fancy suit and tie. Peter is unexpectedly suave. 1x13, another agent poaches Neal. Neal is uncooperative. Peter is territorial. Do these not sound like kink meme prompts? Or is that just me

PROPS FOR RIDICULOUSLY LONG COMMENTS! They are encouraged. haha ♥

Yeah, it's quite a big criminal world, but Neal and Peter seem to take on a lot of giants of the scene, or really skilled ones, at least, and it just seems logical that word would have traveled around that Neal doesn't play for their team anymore. (I, too, am willing to let White Collar plotholes slip under the radar, b/c it's fun and I wouldn't enjoy it as much if I sat down to nitpick every detail.) AND YES with the kink meme prompts point-out. I agree. It makes me ridiculously happy. (Peter being territorial was probably the highlight of the entire show so far for me, jsyk.)

I've been stalking the JB for a couple weeks too, AND I CANNOT HELP IT. There is a sad lack of LOTS AND LOTS of fic about them though. ;( (But OMFG there's a JB Big Bang this year, and I am…excited beyond words to have lots and lots of long fic to read. <3)

:jumps around a bit: I'm really glad you enjoyed this! It was just a little snipped I fooled around with a couple months ago when I first got back into writing and it didn't go anywhere, so I figured "Hey, it's good enough on its own. Who needs 5000-word stories anyways?"

It was weird to swing the whole not saying Dean's name as a form of possessiveness, because I've seen quite a few fics where he doesn't say it as a way to distance himself from him. Hmm…

Well, it's not about the "shit" that happened haha. Mostly because I didn't want to summarize it; everyone knows their tragic story, and it wasn't necessarily relevant to what I was writing.

Soo, I kinda stalked/followed you to your journal and WOW, I adore this ficlet! It's just so very Sam&Dean and the forever love they have. I especially love the Jess section and I love what this reveals about Sam and how he relates to people and just the way he's emotionally possessive of Dean. It's awesome :D
