Jesus, that's crap news. I know he lost his job recently but he seemed to have a brave face on it as ever. In fact, no matter when or where I saw him - which was actually in a crazy number of different towns and venues, often on consecutive days - I don't think I ever saw him not smiling.

Yeah, seconded with this. Indeed I last saw him last weekend at 0400 post-Wendyhouse, waiting for the same coach back to Sheffield as us, then at my night on the Tuesday.
