HISTORY
Younha was born in Seoul, Korea in 1988 (April 29) to music-loving parents who encouraged her to play the piano as early as age 4. A love for Japanese music was developed through watching Japanese dramas on television, and through the recommendation of a senior at school.
At an early age she auditioned for many Korean agencies, only to be turned away by most of them. She was finally scouted by a Japanese label in 2003/2004, but she had to drop out of high school and move by herself to Japan, where she began training under the company, and learning Japanese by herself. Her song Yubikiri was released as an insert song for the Japanese drama Tokyo Wankei in May 2004, and she finally released her first single Yubikiri ~Japanese Version~ in October of the same year.
In 2005, her song Houkiboshi was used as the ending theme to the popular anime Bleach, and this propelled her to stardom and popularity as the song broke into the Oricon Top 20. She also released her first full Japanese album the same year.
Around the end of 2006, she finally release her first Korean single, AUDITION. In 2007, she released her first Korean album A Perfect Day To Say I Love You, which contained the single Password 486 (written and composed by Wheesung, who was then employed under the same label). The song reached #1 on various charts, and enabled Younha to win a couple of music show wins. She also won a couple of newcomer awards by the time the year was over.
Since then, Younha has released a few more Japanese singles, a second full Japanese album, a second and third (in two parts) Korean albums, and a Korean mini-album. (For more, see the discgraphy section below.)
Younha has also ventured into acting. As early as 2005, she has appeared in a Japanese mini-drama called 天使が降りた日 (Tl?) (Part 2). In 2008/2009 she starred in a Japanese movie called On Next Sunday (you have to be a member to be able to download, unfortunatelyy, and I haven't seen it subbed on streaming so far) as Sora, a Korean exchange student in Japan taking film classes. In April 2010, a movie called Suspicious Customers will be airing in Korea, with Younha appearing in it as a young, aspiring musician named Soyeon.

RELATIONSHIPS
I'm no expert so the relationships that will be listed in this section are mostly my own personal favorites and the most popular/obvious ones. If I miss anything, like I said feel free to comment. 8D (Also, as a warning, this section is probably the rambliest, err. ._.)
01. WONDER GIRLS (Yoobin, Yeeun, Sunye)
It makes sense to start with these girls since Younha more or less starts the celebrity part of her Thanks To section in her albums with exactly these girls. There were a number of young female idols to debut in 2007 and I think it should be easy to say that Younha is more or less well connected with them. (As you can see among this list are also KARA and SNSD, but more about them later.)

Younha has also on more than one occasion referred to Yoobin as her "baby" and/or her "honey," and in the same vein, Yoobin has referred to her as her "baby" and/or her "princess." Back in 2008 they declared themselves to be "publicly dating" even, LMAO. They have also left a shit ton of cloyingly sweet messages on each other's cyworld ilcheons back when Cyworld was the in thing. Ofc we all know that Kpop idols are all over twitter now, and Yoobin was pm the first person Younha followed when she got twitter (followed by Yeeun and Sunye). Unfortunately I can't find the dozen other declarations of love for Yoobin Younha made on twitter, but hey there is this!
Younha has also exchanged ilcheon messages with Yeeun on Cyworld, and qt tweets on twitter. I was too lazy to cap when they first appeared, but they definitely exchanged tweets about Yeeun attending Younha's concert last year (2010), and Wonderfuls were wonderfully stalkerish with pictures.

02. KARA (Gyuri, Seungyeon, Nicole, Sunghee)
After Wonder Girls, Younha always says thank you to KARA on her album thanks to list, more specifically the original KARA4 that she debuted alongside with in 2007 (in her PL&IC flap, she thanked even Sunghee, but only Gyuri, Seungyeon and Nicole were in the Growing Season flap).
I was always under the impression that Younha was closest with Gyuri and Seungyeon, which makes sense since they're all same-aged friends. Seungyeon has been caught chumming it up with Younha (and bonus Sunye!!) in music shows, even.
Gyuri, on the other hand, has been caught skipping around, holding hands with Younha as well (watch their entire Hello Baby clip with bonus T-ARA and Baby Mason!). Younha and Gyuri also refer to each other as "baby" a lot, on twitter and irl as well. On Shimshim Tapa, when Younha was announced as a guest by Jungmin (who was filling in for Shindong at the time), Gyuri made cutesy noises going "jagii~ jagiii~" and Jungmin was like WHAT, and Gyuri was like YOUNHA IS MY JAGI. LMAO. I'm not even kidding, okay, here is the entire show.
In 2009, when Younha appeared as a guest on Yoo Heeyeol's Sketchbook, she brought along KARA as a guest because Yoo Heeyeol was a big fan. If you watch the clip, there are qt hugs between Younha and Gyuri, and they explain that Younha called them up herself and they actually came as a favor for her.
Also, some random twitter goodness with Younha & Gyuri. Plus Younha announcing to the world that her friend Gyuri is now on twitter, and then some. 8D

03. SNSD (Taeyeon)
Unfortunately, all I have are pictures, LMAO. I know for a fact though that they have thanked each other on their albums, and have talked about their friendship on tv shows and radio every now and then?
04. U-KISS (Xander, Kevin)
Xander's relationship with Younha is pretty much a free-for-all with all their conversations on twitter. Younha has also thanked Xander, Kevin, and even Xander's father in her albums, and Xander and Kevin have done the same. They have also appeared on Kiss the Radio together.
Xander, Kevin, and Eli have also talked about going out to dinner with Younha in Pops in Seoul, and Kevin has admitted to wanting to sing a duet with Younha one day.
05. F.T ISLAND
FTI and Younha were probably two of the biggest kpop newcomers back in 2007, proven by the fact that they more or less sweeped all the newcomer awards by the end of the year. They were in a number of things together that year, inlcuding a uniform commercial/promotional campaign for SMART, and various special stages by the end of the year (see the perfromances section for this bit, but look at them being all qt backstage then, hehe).
By 2008, Hongki was referring to Younha as his "nam dongsaeng (little brother)." Hongki has also called Younha his ideal duet partner, and Jonghun has named Younha as a Korean female artist that he respects a lot.
Younha has warned Hongki about being a misbehaved punk in her Growing Season Thanks to, and she also follows Hongki Jonghun, and Jaejin on twitter. Hongki is an ass who probably didnt see her follow him (stupid bitch, LOL), but Jonghun and Jaejin followed her first! And Jaejin has since exchanged a couple of tweets with Younha, mostly about his drinking habits, LOL.
Also, IDK how scripted it was since it was a variety show, but Younha has chosen Minhwan as her personal favorite in the band. (And then some other Younha/F.T Island nice things.)
06. EPIK HIGH
Younha first worked with Epik High for a Music Bank Special Stage, where they sang each other's hit songs, namely Password 486 and Love Love Love. Tablo said that they enjoyed workjing with her then, and it showed, because shortly after they featured her in a track called Umbrella from their 5th album, and Tablo also wrote a song for Younha's second album called Memory.
Younha and Tablo also tease each other about their heights (or LOL lack thereof), and Younha has also mentioned that Tu:kutz is close to her ideal type. Also, how can I leave out Mithra? 8D
Younha was also a fixed guest on Tablo's radio show for a month or so around the end of 2008, and she was also a guest performer in their December 2008 Concert.
07. WHEESUNG
Wheesung is one of the first senior artists that Younha collaborated with, which makes a lot of sense since Wheesung used to be signed under the same label as Younha. He has praised her talent numerous times, and he's also the person behind Younha's biggest Korean hit, Password 486. Wheesung also featured Younha in a track for his 4th album called Soothing Touch. Wheesung also had Younha as a guest in his 2007 concert(s).
Younha has also talked about how Wheesung loves to talk on the phone a lot, FOR HOURS, to the point that sometimes she pretends that her battery is running out just so they can end the conversation, LMAO.
Oh also, pictures, because they exist. :D
08. K. WILL & SWEET SORROW
K. Will and Younha were both successful newly debuted soloists back in 2007. They have since appeared on stage together a number of times.
They were also fixed guests together on Sweet Sorrow's Ten Ten Club for a month or so during mid-2009. I haven't seen or heard anything from the DJ-ing cuts of those episodes, but I have seen them do covers of songs like SNSD's Gee, G.O.D's To Mom and, As One's Want and Resent.
Younha seems pretty close and comfortable with all of them (K. Will and Sweet Sorrow), based on twitter conversations and her thank yous to them in her Growing Season album. Anyway, pictures of them on TenTen Club together! (I also had a cute screencap of a Younha/K. Will fist bump from a fancam but now I can't find it :( )
09. HWAYOBI, KIM BUMSOO & YOO HEEYEOL
These are a some senior artists who have consistently praised Younha's talent, and have repeatedly collaborated with her by composing/singing songs for/with her.
Yoo Heeyeol (aka Toy) first had Younha sing a song on his 6th album called Today, Seoul's Skies Are Sunny All Day Long. He has gone on to write other songs for Younha, such as Must Be Easy, which appears in Volume B of Younha's 3rd album. Younha also appears a lot on Yoo Heeyeol's show, Sketchbook, where they always talk about working together on more songs/collaborations. Younha is currently the fixed guest for a month (March, 2011) on a fixed corner on Sketchbook, where she performs songs with Lucid Fall and Yoo Heeyeol himself.
Hwayobi wrote Broke Up Today, which was the title track from Younha's 3rd album (Volume B). She also wrote Please Take Care of My Boyfriend, which was Younha's title track from her mini-album last December 2010. She has also appeared as a guest during Younha's ballad concert last December 2010, where they sang Broke Up Today as a duet. She has since signed under the same company as Younha (Lion Media Co.).
Kim Bumsoo first collaborated with Younha for a track on his 6th album called Tug of War. He has praised Younha's voice on numerous occassions, and he wrote for her again/sang with her again on Younha's 3rd album (Vol. B), a song called Things I Realise After a Break-up (and their radio performance of it is just amazing). He also appeared as a guest on Younha's ballad concert last December 2010.
10. TAINAKA SACHI
Tainaka Sachi is a Japanese singer known mostly for singing the theme songs for the anime Fate/Stay Night. She and Younha belong to the same Japanese label, and Younha has said that she is one of her closest Japanese friends. They... take a lot of pictures together, LMAO.

- DBSK & S.E.S: From the thanks to section of her Growing Season album. (Although AFAIK, she was thanking 2AM's Changmin, and not DBSK's because the "muscular school boy" is actually Jung Jinwoon.)

This is a sort of documentary feature from Younha's days in Japan, pre-Korean debut. Only the first part of the show was subbed, but IDK, I think it gives you a sort of insight into what kind of girl Younha is.

Unfortunately I can't find any streaming of this anymore, but Soshified subbed it, and if you have access to their downloads, I suggest watching it. It's cute- Tiffany hangs all over Younha, and they tease Kim Hyesung left and right. :D
