You really think if any of the Avengers knew that anouther form of her children wewre around they'd have told her? That would have just made a bigger mess, they were trying to get her to let go of the figments she'd created.
Didn't Vision get mindwiped or something after the whole sons are really bits of Mephisto, Wanda goes crazy pre-Dissasembled? So even if he did know of them he'\d have no emotional connection to them.
i just know way too much about vizh okayfullofmetalNovember 5 2011, 21:11:10 UTC
He did, but he regained both his emotions and his memories soon after. Throughout the mid-90s up until Disassembled, he expressed so much self-hatred and regret about "being a toaster when [his] sons were taken away". (Yes. He called himself a toaster. It was actually kind of funny.) He absolutely loathed himself for not being there to properly fight for his sons' lives.
At one point, he got so pissed at Mantis and Wonder Man, because no one "gave him time to grieve" after he came back. He was drawn to protect the little boy during the red virus thing because he was reminded of the sons he once had.
He loved them and he was devastated by their loss.
Vihz suffered from the loss, too. He hated himself for not being able to 'save' them. If he knew that they were still out there... I don't think he'd let the opportunity pass.
However, he always thought very logically. If he thought that interfering in Tommy and Billy's current lives would negatively effect them, then he wouldn't contact them, as much he wanted to. He'd force himself not to see them, as much as he wanted. At the same time, he would know that Wanda wouldn't be able to stop herself, so kept it from her, instead monitoring the boys who were once his sons from a distance.
I DON'T KNOW, ARE WE ATTACHED SOMEWHERE? (I love your icon :3)
I like this point, looking at it from the kids' side. Your putting images of Vision ghostwatching them, solemnly sad. ;A; And it would make sense, but from the two sides, it's either interfere with who had become his children in spirit or watch his wife slowly go mad. While hindsight is 20/20 and obviously no one foresaw that she would snap in such a way, it seems cruel to Wanda for him to keep it from her.
Yeah... I mean, he never kept anything from her, unless he believed it would hurt her. Maybe he thought that it would only make her mourning worse? Or, he knew they were connected to the Avengers, but didn't know how? It sounds crappy, but really, wouldn't he have listed it in his database if he knew?
Honestly, I think it's one of those things Heinberg didn't even think about when he wrote the series. xD
