I'm sure you're all wondering what's been keeping grandma busy. Honestly, I've been so run off my feet I haven't even had time to go for a stroll past Edgey-poo's office! It was quite a surprise, out of the blue my son turned up on my doorstep and took me off to watch one of those puffed-up ball games the kids are playing these days. Trying to get ( Read more... )

You got that right, kid! I'm going, and I'll keep on going until no young'un dares put a foot wrong! I got eyes in the back of my head, so you better watch your step around me!

You sound like you have a real fighting spirit. I admire that. Keep it up!

Your son certainly should have been there for you on Mother's Day. We owe it to our mothers to respect and honor them.

Though I feel I should advise you to be careful. If you make physical contact, the young men or their parents could conceivably charge you with assault.

Well now, that's just what my acting teacher said to me back when I was a girl. I had a fighting spirit and the fists to match! But don't you worry, sonny boy, it's all in my job description now, and if anyone tries to charge me I'm sure my Edgey-boy would be glad to pick up my case!

I'm not surprised that this isn't the first time you've heard words to that effect.

Ha, all right, I'm not going to disabuse you of those ideas.

Good luck.

I'm... gonna second Mr. Armando on that- you're uh, pretty lucky no one has called you out on any assault charges yet.

... Especially the minors.

Listen, kiddo, if anyone's being assaulted here it's me! Young punks running around assaulting my peace and quiet! It's my job to take care of these things and if anyone steps out of line on my watch, major OR minor, they pay the price!!

T-Then you can REPORT them! You can't just BEAT kids!

That's... a WAY harsher charge than disturbing the peace...!

Sonny, when you put it like that, you make me sound like a criminal. You must be a friend of that spiky-haired upstart or something. Beating's what bullies and good-for-nothings do! I just show them the exit and if those little punks can't figure out how to use it I give 'em a good hard shove in the right direction! That's all!!

You should leave policing up to us professionals instead of taking things into your own hands, pal. I do get the feeling you've got more persuasive power than some of us, though.

My job is security, bub, and if something isn't secure it's my business to put it right. Besides, all you police types ever do is give the kids a talking-to. It's no wonder those upstarts think they can get away with anything!

Guess you got a point there, pal. You got any tips?

Hit 'em hard, hit 'em early, and hit 'em often. It's the only way they'll ever learn!
