I don't even have the words right now to tell you how amazing this was. I loved Claire even though I was like 'get the hell away from him.' Of course he would go for someone like Lily to distance himself from Veronica.

LOL, I probably would fail so hard at writing V/L fluff, even though they can definitely be fluffy and it's the cutest thing in the world. Actually I was thinking about it, and I think the reason most fic in fandom seems to not be terribly OOC, even though it sometimes makes use of characterization that could be viewed as cliched, is because people just set their plot in a certain timeline which fits their characterization; for instance, if someone wants to use the virginal!submissive!woman trope, they just pick the pre-series timeline for Veronica, while if someone wants L/V fluff, they pick late S1 or early S3, or maybe post S1 or post S2, and if someone wants hot!bitter!enemies, then they pick early S1 or if they want snarky!sexually!tense, they pick early S2. So basically, what would be terribly OOC in a lot of other fandoms, actually works in terms of Logan/Veronica, because it's so heavily dependent on the when. So it can't be said as a blanket statement that if Veronica isn't the hardened, tough, PI who doesn't need anything,

I don't read much fic anymore, and I rarely read VM fic, but for some reason I clicked on your link in one of the VM comms and I'm really glad I did, because I enjoyed that immensely.

And it also led me down memory lane because I started going through some of my old picspams, meta posts and icons from back in the day. Okay, that? Is the most fantastic coloring I've seen of that particular scene yet; it's ridiculously hard to color. And oh my god, I just watched VM for the first time and ventured into fandom and have been a bit obsessive about icons so thank you for that link, seriously. And of course I'll credit, now I know it's yours! I've been looking through award comms and those don't give the maker, which is unfortunate. Great work, seriously.

Thank you. The really scary part? I realized as I was going down memory lane that a bunch of the icons I still have uploaded are 6,7, even 8 years old at this point. And there were a bunch of amazing icon makers in the VM fandom back in the day, but so many of their journals are now defunct. A couple of years ago I actually hunted down some of the - in my opinion - iconic icons that friends had made and I figured were at risk of being lost for good.

It must have taken a lot of effort to color the icons back when the show was airing, because I don't think the editing software was that fancy as it is now! But I just spent a very pleasant twenty minutes browsing through those icons you made and I LOVE how smooth they are, that isn't something I've seen in the iconing side of fandom yet- of course, most people stopped making them some three-four years ago!

Oh those are fantastic!! Thee second in the first batch made me LOL so hard, and Oh Veronica in that torn white, virginal dress D: guh.

This is probably my favorite post-series fic that I've ever read, and I'm not even usually that fond of fics that start so soon after the show left off.

I love the way that you captured Logan and Veronica so perfectly, with all their flaws and sharp edges completely on display. I even actually kind of like Piz in this, which is something of a miracle. And I loved Claire, I really like the idea that while she could have handled another Hannah or Parker, the idea of him with another Lilly was just too much.

All of it is so perfect, and absolutely my head-canon from now on :)

I always try making the people coming in between my ship much nicer, because my OTPs are usually composed of such terrible, damaged individuals as it is. I like Piz, I think he's pretty harmless, besides I appreciate any character giving me moments of OTP!jealousy!

I actually had a hard time writing, because I hate knowing canon and writing outside it, so I was all "but this doesn't fit in with movie canon!! D:" I think I'm just going to ignore movie canon till it's actually released, haha.
