I cannot with my life choices right now, okay. I decided yesterday I am going to slow the fuck down, prompt table or no prompt table, BUT INSTEAD, now I have 4000 words of Klaus/Caroline COLLEGE FIC on my hands. But it's for the wonderful florencia7 for a stunning prompt from an equally stunning poem (which i so totally did not live up to at all, um?) so I'm ( Read more... )

the brat pack is my legit angsty bff, character: caroline forbes, fanfiction: the vampire diaries, freud probably has a theory on it, fanfiction is a valid life choice, the show wants me to ship klaus/caroline, john hughes didn't pen your life story, fanfiction, the prompt table is the devil negl, patron saint of doomed ships, follow the yellow brick road, what even is my life?, character: klaus mikaelson, i love everyone in this bar

Thank you, even though I don't have a style per se, I think this may be my definitive Caroline-style!

Ah. I have only read your Caroline fics, I guess. This is a highly stylized piece of writing but you're saying it's your chosen Caroline style. Ha!

Ohh, LOL, I think I just randomly go along with whatever I feel like in the moment, so my angst in most fandoms is overly stylized, and the first Klaus/Caroline I ever wrote was ridiculously style-based. xD

I think Caroline's just a really fun character to write for, so hopefully that's what comes across!

I don't think I've written her as much as I've written some of the others, because she always terrified me by being flawless, lol.

it’s just, if she’s going to be freaking seventeen forever, she wants to be lots of different seventeen-year-olds. She wants to major in history, and go to feminist rallies, and parade across a ramp and just, do everything ever.

I love this. So much.

They'd probably try to straightjacket her, but she could always eat them, so.

LOLOL.

Occasionally flirting with someone to try and execute plans to murder them does not a friendship make.

And more LOL. I love your Caroline voice.

I know the concept is foreign to you, since you're so delightfully immune to my charms, but they actually do work on the few odd people.

And on me, apparently.

Wonderful job.

Haha, I looked at the prompt and I was like ANGST; LET'S DO THIS. And instead, this happened, and Klaus just refused to be overly dramatic and Klaus-like because that's what Caroline needed? Oh, well. Hee. Thanks so much!

Oh my god, I didn't even see your comments till alexia_drake pointed it out!

Also, hee, you're adorable! And you seem to have that same sense of obligation of being thorough in reviewing for a fic written for you that I do :P

OKAY, SO I BASICALLY JUST BLUSHED THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE THING BECAUSE wow, you are way too kind to me, and I'm pretty sure pretty much none of it is my writing as much as it is your reading and you generally being the sweetest person ever.

Also, I'm so glad Caroline works for you here, because I love her voice, but she makes me change from my usual genre, which is terrifying. And especially with Klaus, because to have them believably interact is also terrifying to me, lol.

THANK YOU FOR THE PROMPT, IT WAS GORGEOUS. And honestly that poem is stunning and it fits so many of my ships, guh, thank you for bringing it to my notice!!

Also, WOW, thank you for taking the time out to write such a detailed review and picking out lines and things, because that is so helpful for writing in general and I really appreciate it!

I'M SO GLAD IT WORKED FOR YOU. I was scared you wouldn't like it! Although, you wouldn't have let me know either way, if you didn't like it and would have still told me you did, so that's there :P

But really, thank you so much, I never manage to really write Klaus/Caroline as much as I love them, and this was the first time that I actually tried writing them, instead of just messing about with stylistics, hee.
