I'm fairly upset that the Torino organizing committee felt the need to assure NBC that there would be no hanky panky at the upcoming opening ceremonies. Our puritanical nation has gotten out of control. I watched every minute of NBC coverage of the Athens opening ceremonies and there was nothing objectionable, prurient or lewd going on. Olympics broadcaster NBC television, owned by General Electric Co., had to fend off criticism last year when the Athens Olympics opening ceremony featured ancient Greek gods in various stages of undress and simulated sex.

Er...was I out of the room during the simulated sex? Not remembering anything like that.

I wasn't out of the room for any of it, and I think I would have remembered simulated sex. Perhaps there are people in our society who don't understand that it's possible for Eros to be unerotic. But that wheat harvesting party did get pretty boisterous.

Personally I think the Olympics should all be held in the nude.
Well... maybe not the winter olympics. We wouldn't want the male competitors all embarrassed and whatnot.
