The Highlight of my Day

I was sooo tired today at work (my own fault for staying up til 2) but this little guy really brightened my afternoon. He came up to scrounge some food from the birdfeeder 2 of my coworkers put outside between their office windows.

We used to have dead possums outside our house every day. Sometimes 3 or more. We think it was because they were eating the bug spray from the garden. :/

Really? Eww. And weird too, to have that many. And they were really dead, not just playing dead? Guess I kinda feel sorry for them if it was the bug spray....

Run ins with opossums are usually a bit scary, I think, with the way they put on a big show of bearing their viscious looking teeth. So I was a bit suprised that this one looked so cute.

I know, right? Their body design is so good they basically haven't needed to evolve any in all that time.

There's something else about them too that's just...scary.

Well you know, their appearance isn't really helped by their huge rat like tails either.
