1) I don't know of much at all atm. The fandom seems to be fairly stagnant.
3) It's canon that Sanzo shot and killed a man who beat him up and was threatening to rape him five days after he left the temple after his master's death (Reload manga volume 3).
4) It's fun fluff. Which means I watched 10 eps but haven't bothered downloading any more to watch, because I kept waiting for it to go somewhere and it didn't. It seems like a one-joke anime. I'll probably watch more when I run out of other stuff to watch, I'm still behind on Bleach and Gunlock....
1: Damn. Guess it's my job to liven it up again then? ;)
2: Ah... that explains a bit. I had been wondering. Thanks!
3: I'll agree with you there. I've seen it all now and I can say that there is a bit more plot later, especially in the sense of characte development, ect, but it's not very heavy. It's a comedy series, it's not dark and it's not angsty and you know, I kind of respect it for that. But yeah, there is a little more plot/character development, but not much. It remains pretty light... Then again, the boys are so pretty! :sigh: Who needs plot when you have such nice eye candy?
1. Somebody should! But I've no right to ask it of you when I haven't written Trigun for a year now....
3. I wasn't expecting dark drama or anything, but it's good to know the characters do actually go somewhere in the end! Fluff has its place, I'm not denying it, but my true love will always be saved for the angst XD
Well, in the time since I last posted I've actually not written any Trigun... though I've done some Saiyuki stuff...
As for the Oran thing... I find myself both agreeing and dissagreeing. As I said, there's no really heavy angst. There's character development and, you know, a bit of darkness but nothing on the level of, say, Fruits Basket (which is an anime OHSHC is often compared to.) But you know I kind of respect that. As was sort of pointed out in the third episode, the idea of the really rediculously angsty pasts is a bit... overdone. I kind of like that in Oran yeah, most of the characters do have a small level of angst but it's on a level I can easily relate to, you know? Which is kind of nice. I like very angsty of course, but mild angst is also nice. But yeah, I hope you see more. Let me know what you think of it when you do, please? I'd be interested in finding out.
Yeah, I've seen it all too. It is terrifingly addictive! But god, is it FUN!!!
WARNING, VERY VAUGE SPOILERS!!!
(I LOVE the third to last episode... where you find out about KO and the... you know... painting. That last bit, with the painting and hte flower and stuff? It actually made my eyes water...)
Well if you look at the manga, in no5 I *think* where they are in Death Trap T or whatever it was called, just before Yugi reveals the existance of Yami to Anzu and Joey (Joinshi I think? Forgotten his jap name!) he sort of starts shaking? Well Joey goes up to him and says something like, 'are you OK Yugi? Do you need your insulin?' Now it could be that he was just guessing that Yugi might be diabetic or something. But by the way it was phrased and stuff, and the fact you wouldn't really take insulin unless you WERE diabetic... I don't know, maybe it was a feaved dream on my part, but I'm sure what's what it said.
Interesting about the suish thing, I wish I could see that fic. It just seemed an interesting fact to me...
I'm watching bleach too, though I'm up to episode 20 odd now. It's pretty good though it's not caught my imagination some anime has. Ouran hasn't done that much either, to be fair, but it is very good. I will warn you though, Ouran is fluff, good fluff, well crafted fluff, highly enjoyable and even addictive fluff, but it is just fluff. Don't expect much else. The last few eps are very good.
