The election has been called! For November 24th. A reminder that not only is it illegal to not vote, you must be registered by 20:00 the day the writs are issued. Although the AEC offices are closed, you can fax or email this form and that is fine so long as it is received by 20:00 on that day.

I was delighted to find a new Salvos store in Subiaco. I don't know how long it has been there, as it has been some time since I was in Subiaco, but it is behind the Salvation Army Barracks (or whatever they're called) on Rowland Street. Close to UWA and to home and to a large array of my acquaintances is Tiamo Cafe, situated on Hampden Road in Crawley. Went to the zoo a few weeks ago; I forget sometimes how much I love the zoo, just sitting there and watching the animals. I wonder how it feels to be caged like that. I can never spend much time with the tigers, as they pace back and forth in front of the glass, but the penguins look so happy, and I think the zebras do, too.
