My parents have been up at my sister's house for the past week or so.  While they were there my sister had some work done on the furnace in the house, which hasn't been working right.

Two guys showed up to do the work.

One of them seemed to be quite smitten with my 3 year old niece.  He fawned over her quite a bit.  He told her several times what a ( Read more... )

Yikes.

I think after that last bit, I would have told the guy to get off my property and warned him if he ever showed up anywhere near my neighborhood again I'd put enough lead in him to use him for a boat anchor.

Then I'd have called the police and reported the whole incident of the creepy behavior and talk, the record found on-line, and gone door-to-door with fliers.

I would report his behavior to his employer. He clearly still can't control himself. Oh yeah, and the police, too.

He was convicted in 2006. Given credit for 157 days served. Currently on probation. Not supposed to be around under 18 without an adult over 21 present and permission from his parole officer. He might have permission from his parole officer though, to come into contact with kids while working. His parole officer wasn't in the office when I called. Gave the info to my sister and she's gonna call them and give them more details ( ... )

wow, I dont blame her one bit. What a creep. Hopefully everything turns out ok, but better safe than sorry of course. What a shame to have to live in fear for your children. I can't even let Emily play in our yard unsupervised...Look at what happened to that girl in Tracy.

Oh, I got sick to my stomach reading that. I'm kinda repeating what has already been said and what is probably already being done, but: contact his employer and let them know he made inappropriate comments about the girl and that you have discovered he's a sex offender and wtf were they doing sending him over there without warning the homeowner/parents?; contact the parole officer and the police as well; make sure reports get filed. Might not even be going overboard to look into a restraining order to legally bar him from the property.
