It's all so insane. I mean, individual states didn't get to vote on whether or not to end segregation or any of those battles. It is unthinkable to me why there wasn't a federal marriage equality act passed during the Clinton years. We live in a crazy world that makes no sense though.
One where Target gives money to a politician who supports a group which advocates executing gay people. I've been writing letters all week about that (and called Target and explained why I could not shop there anymore).
No matter how much time goes by it feels like we've barely made any progress since the 70s when they removed homosexuality from the DSM.
Yup, hopefully it won't be overturned. But from the sounds of the judge and the couple, they plan to keep fighting it up to the supreme court if they have to
