Another emo dive entry.

May 21, 2010 03:00

I am torn between blowing off my summer savings from internship and election work for something I have always wanted to do (ie. dive lessons, finally) vis-a-vis "saving it for a rainy day." Sometimes I wish money just grew on trees. There are so many places to go to / experience/ see, but always, it requires dough, and sadly, dough isn't something ( Read more... )

I say jump! My recent status sa facebook: Broke but happy :)

I don't go to Church regularly, i feel obligated and i don't like it. Some preists annoy me, but so far not jesuits.

You're single, no family etc etc. When you grow older and magka responsibility ka na (Meaning kids), spending on yourself will be frowned upon... so enjoyin mo na!

Diving to you is photography to me, and I swear God is alive in anything you are passionate about. Masstarstrcuk ka talaga with the feeling of unexplainable awe and wonder that leads you back to think that "There must be a God who created this, or else it doesn't really make any sense how this is possible"

A long time ago i looked into my heart and made a decision about what i really believed and it changed my life. Whether or not you and i come to the same conclusion, i really think it's important for you to reexamine the things you really believe in and the meanings of things you do. Whatever you decide, it's going to enrich the way you live life :) Good luck on the spiritual journey!

I've long since concluded that i am agnostic, and that the nature and existence of God are things beyond our mind's capability. We can try as humans to try to express the concept in our terms: anthropomorphize him, give him feelings and emotions and gender pronouns and whatever else, but i don't htink anything we can come up with will ever approach the reality. The tough part about this was that in order to accept that we can't understand God, i had to let go of the notions i had of him growing up. That is, a personal god that i can pray to and interact with. As far as i'm concerned, i cannot say for certain whether or not he's there, but i am certain that i am not a Christian.

However! That does not mean i am totally closed off from everything. I'm so agnostic that not only do i attend meetings with the local freethinker group, i also occasionally attend Christian services. It's good to keep an open mind!

that's nice :) interesting, your thoughts remind me of a lecture in philosophy class. our prof drew the word "TRUTH" on the blackboard, and on one side, the human being, a very small figure, as if to show that the world and its possibilities are so vast, and our human comprehension is so limited, that we can only grasp a small portion of what really is. :p

Hi Yas! You might find these sites helpful with your questions on faith. :)

www.lifeteen.com
www.boundless.org

Lifeteen's podcasts are amazing and they helped me understand what I believe and why I believe. :D I think we all have to find the best way we can live out our faith, and sometimes you find God in the strangest of places. And so to answer if you'll jump...if it's your heart's desires, why not? :) Psalm 37:4 :)

Ano ba ang 15 thousand? A new phone? 3 decent pairs of shoes? These are some things people buy impulsively. Just put things in perspective, whatever makes you happy.
