Due to too many hitches, delays and also due to me having several people claim to not get packages which I later found out they HAD in fact received, I will no longer be shipping to Canada unless you have an address I have confirmed delivery too before OR you are willing to pay the additional money for a package TRACKING number (rather than just a ( Read more... )

I just feel bad for the 99% of my Canadian customers who I am sure are totally honest. I will make exceptions and ship first class but I practically make them sign a waiver before I do it. LOL

I don't know what I'm going to do about it in the long run.

I just think it's ridiculous that stuff reaches AUSTRALIA in way less time and with much more consistancy than freakin' CANADA! We're ATTACHED for cripe's sake!

People were lying to you about receiving their yarn!? OMFG! That is just wrong. If I somehow misread that, sorry about yelling. GRRR. It's too bad that the mail system between the US and Canada sucks so much.

A few people the mail took a long time, so at one point they were legitamately missng an order, but then BOTH orders showed up and they did not tell me. The nice person in me would really like to chalk that up to just being forgetful or whatever. However, a few others claimed they were missing yarn when in fact they had already gotten it.

This isn't JUST Canadians, but coupled with Shipping to Cananda already being shakey, I just can't keep taking the hits. I've lost several hundred dollars re-sending yarn that turned out wasn't even missing.

I should have been more clear, that "GRRR" was for anyone who does that, not just Canadians ;-) It's a shame that the mail system is so ineffective in general.

Given the other comments in this thread, I'm not the first person to have any of these problems.

Are you serious? Because I honestly have not received any packages yet. :/
I was going to wait another week before letting you know that nothing had arrived yet though, as you said that you had shipped out a second package last week.

Yes, but I WILL ship to you a second time if you don't receive your package as you've never ordered from me before. These are very specific people - I would have told you if I thought you were lying, which I completely don't.

that's a pretty hefty accusation, considering you couldn't provide a tracking number, assuming i'm one of those canadians you're talking about. i would never lie about something like that. i even added you to my f-list! do you have proof of delivery?

You are NOT one of the Canadians I'm talking about (as I already assured you in the reply I sent to your comment last night.) I believe everything you've said 100% and think you're a cool, kind and honest person.

These are ALL people who ordered yarn and one person who claimed not to get TWO different orders who I have found out have received both the order I sent and the replacement order and didn't tell me. (And yes, I have proof.)

Also, I come up to Vancouver at least once a year, usually more, so we could always hangout and I can hand over yarn.
