Steve Irwin was filming a segment at the Great Barrier Reef, when he was fatally peirced in the chest by a sting ray. He was pronounced dead at 12p.m. (Australia time) on Monday September 4th

How is it that everyone knows the Crocodile Hunter is dead, but I only find out ten minutes ago? Eh, and I am normally so into the news, too.

I suppose that it is unfortunate, but he was at risk for such a thing to happen, given his line of work. I wonder if Animal Planet will run some sort of marathon in his memory.
