It has been a tough couple of months since the passing of my grandmother and my great-uncle ( Read more... ) -

I have had a rough two weeks. No, wait. That sounded very selfish. My family and I have had a rough two weeks. First, at the end of February, my grandmother passed away then two weeks later my uncle passed away. It has been a difficult time. One death was a shock and so sudden while the other death came at the end of a prolonged illness. Either way ( Read more... ) -

What is this obsession with Valentine's Day? I'm okay with giving candy and gifts to my family and friends but I'd rather do that all year long instead of just one day. It is crazy how this "holiday" was built up to be a huge marketing scheme to make people feel guilty about not loving and appreciating their significant others all year long. One ( Read more... )
