I knew, when I gave you this prompt, that you'd do an amazing job of it. But you've done more than that. You've surpassed my expectations many times over. If I were to quote my favourite passages here, I'd be repeating something like 70% of the story. So I'll try to summarise.
Rose's reservations come across so very well. She's a product of her times and of Jackie's upbringing. You also write her as very human - she can only see her own point of view, until the Doctor first makes her see a different perspective, and then she starts thinking things through on her own. Like joking, I thought it was very clever to use racial and sexuality prejudices to help her understand where Jack and the Doctor are coming from.
Jack is so lovely in this story. He simply doesn't get it, at first, but once he does he's so terrified of doing anything else to hurt or frighten Rose. But once he knew she wasn't frightened the flirting was lovely - and I laughed out loud at his panic over pyjamas and the state of his room
( ... )
I liked this a lot. The progression of it felt very natural. I like that it was Jack who picked up on the fact that Rose asking to go home was just another cultural misunderstanding issue. Really those three even just as friends would have them, they're each from very different cultures.
Nice touch with the fact that not so long ago she wouldn't have considered dating Micky and this is not so different from that.
Yes, the are very different from each other - in some ways, Jack is just as alien to Rose as the Doctor. And while that can lead to problems, it also means they each have something unique to contribute. :)
Aww, this was great! Love how you portrayed the three's emotions, the uncertainty and the compassion! Especially Jack... he is so sweet here! And I laughed out loud as he freaked out because of his bed! I actually pictured him having a wall full of... toys or something equally kinky XDD Great job! :)
Jack IS very sweet - when he's comfortable enough to show it. :)
Remember, this is onyl a few weeks after Jack lost most of his possessions when the Chula ship exploded - he hasn't had time yet to build a very extensive collection of toys. I'm sure he has some - he's Jack, after all - but they comfortable fit in the closet. *g*
This is fantastic! It makes sense to me that Rose would be hesitant and you highlighted the cultural differences very well and imaginatively. The Doctor and Jack's reactions are very in character (Jack's bedroom had me rolling! Also loving the mental image of pajamas!Jack :D) and I liked seeing how Rose gradually came around to deal with it, especially the added detail about Jack's past. I absolutely just loved it. Great job.
She doesn’t want to give up this life, the travel, the excitement, the love. Though, well, that last bit is ruined anyway. And it was the most important one.
Lovely, just lovely.
And again, I love Rose's eventual understanding that not only is she cutting off her nose to spite her face, she's making the Doctor and Jack unhappy, too.
I'm glad you like it. They all have good intentions, and none of them want to hurt the others, of course, but their very different vantage points make them miscommunicate dreadfully.

I'm glad you liked Jack's family history - it's a bit unusual, but there's nothing in canon (yet) that contradicts it. *g*
I'm glad you found the characters and Rose's development realistic.
