So yesterday I had a really awkward conversation with my boss on whether or not I was staying longer. I haven't really decided yet because I want to talk to my friends and family first. So according to BBC, Monday was a record snowfall for Korea. I didn't realize it at the time because we get that much snow where I am from normally. I did think it was a little strange to see people using shovels to clear the snow off the streets. On my way to work I even saw them use a cat that they usually use for hauling dirt at construction ( Read more... )

So I got my package from my family yesterday. The size was huge and the shipping price made me want to cry. Why, oh, why, do they insist on sending me packages? But anyway, it was a nice surprise. They even wrapped all the stuff so I could have "presents" to open ( Read more... )

So today was good and bad. Good because I woke up to a blanket of light snow. The sun was out, there was no wind, and it wasn't even that cold. And then the snow. It had snowed enough to make everything look pretty, but it wasn't heavy enough to impair my walking to the subway station for church. We had our Christmas service today, which was nice. Got my e-mail today from Chungdahm Learning Center. I have my placement! I will be living in Incheon City, the third largest city in South Korea. I will be leaving August 19 for South Korea and starting teaching on the 31st. Wah! I am so nervous ( Read more... )
