Tales of VS

So I'm finally starting to get the hang of Tales of VS. I was playing it today and managed to get a little further with the Leon/Kyle story. I leveled up ridiculously high, only to be a little disappointed when I fought Colette and Lloyd and realized they had 200 GP or whatever while I had 1800. Meh

I've been thinking of getting VS... but I've heard the loading times are atrocious. xD

Yeah, they're not too great. Thankfully, Brawl has prepped me for horrific loading times.

Lloyd and Collete deserve each other, they really do. It's hard to imagine anyone else who wouldn't go absolutely nuts at their various little quirks. ^^

Waah, sounds fun ^^ Some have suggested that Tales of VS might do OK in the U.S. since it's a fighting game, but who knows ... it'd really be great if they would release it over here though.

I know how to unlock all the characters. Just ask me :P Although, if you've been reading my ToVS entries, you'll be able to find it out XD

Anyway, this is how to unlock the characters you mentioned...

Caius is unlocked along with Mao when you finish Yuri and Farah's scenario in Yggdrasil Mode. Richter is unlocked via a side quest involving Richter in Cless and Kratos scenario in Yggdrasil Mode.

To use Overlimit, press R+L button when your OL Gauge is full. If it's not full, you'll do a Taunt which fills up a bit of your OL Gauge. Useful if you're close to a full OL gauge. Also, going into OL fully restores your TP. If you use OL to counter an attack (if you're not blocking), it will cause your OL gauge to drain faster than normal. If you do a OL Cross, your HP and TP are fully restored and you can spam artes with no delay and TP usage (ala ToV OL)

Niiiiice. Thanks a lot! I did read your VS posts, but I didn't have the game at the time, so I didn't pay as close of attention on how to get the characters. But I will try! It looks like I have a ways to go to get those characters, as I'm currently working on Leon and Kyle's. I was thinking of doing Lloyd's next, but maybe I'll do Yuri's instead so I can get Caius and Mao.

You can always find them easily by using my "Tales of VS" tag since I tagged all of them with it.

I didn't mention this, but, I dunno if you've figured it out, to unlock Cless and Kratos together with their scenario, finish Lloyd and Colette scenario in Yggdrasil mode.

Colette is as cheap in VS as she is in RM2. It's so easy winning with her, I now use her to train weak characters XD
Recently unlocked Kohak and she's <3 too, eheheh
