See, the problem with that is, I really want to do this with the Ninth Doctor. (Because I like the word "Fantastic" *WAY* too much. XD;)

Oh, it's not so much about what happens, as certain premises in the way the Who universe works are explored in a way that would be very handy for your purposes. This is all stuff Nine (and Eight, and Seven, and...) knew from before, it's just now we know it too. (I guess technically people older than us knew it since Adric's days as a companion with Four, but still...)
