*is contemplating buying a cheap student viola to play on to ease her viola cravings*

On a less emo note....I find it very amusing that the demonic overpower of irony plays a viola, of all things.

I'm also thinking of buying proper viola, to replace tinny piece of carp I currently have. Just bought nice viola music (Kol Nidrei and Arpeggione Sonata) that I want to play, but they sound bad on this viola.

I saw one that I thought would be a good one until I craved for something better. It's a 16" Cremona. :3 Although I'll have to visit the music shop to see if I can still use a 16" as it's been a while since I last played something (Queen of Sheeba for the win!). I might have to use something smaller if it proves to large for me. :/ I might have to wait for next month before going on a crazy viola music binge...although I still kept all of my sheet music from my orchestra days, so that might tide me over a while...Mmmm....Bach.

Well, considering the amount of disdain/love I have for the damned instrument I'm not surprised I never told you or anyone at the club that I played the viola.

At least you have an instrument still! D: *wants to play a viola so bad*

My parents have been threatening to get rid of the piano recently...

I barely ever play it anymore, but I really like that piano. And plus, where would I pile my music if I didn't have it to use as a shelf?

I would love to own my own baritone sax, but they're really expensive. I'm not sure I've ever heard a viola, but I did read a rather lovely description of the sound the other day that makes me want to hear one: "Violas in good voice sound like expensive dark chocolate tastes, rich and swirling and complex."
