Episode 4: Bygone Days --- 2010.02.01
8/10
I cried a little in this episode.
People without a past, people who are without ties to the past, do not exist.
Anyone who is living has a history. Everyone in this hospital too...
Shiraishi, because of what happened with Kuroda-sensei, worked as hard as she could, but overdid it at times.
Not that it was her fault for working too hard, but it's true that she did not find the abdominal tumour in her patient. (A/N: she was overworked and lacking sleep, so she did not notice it)
It can't really be called malpractice, but Shiraishi was still very troubled by it.
Yet she received encouragement from Hiyama.
"I'm troubled by the past as well. Every time I think about the accident that day, I'm consumed uncontrollable terror. But at the same time, I think about the people I saved.. You as well... Even though you may think that you'll be fine by yourself, I understand this, you don't have to bear the burden by yourself."
It's especially because these two people don't usually get along, that this encouragement was especially effective!
After this, they worked together to successfully save the fallen child
I cried here!
Being fellows together isn't actually such a close relationship, so when I saw this scene, I was touched.
And then, Haruka, her lover Satoshi's psychological state was worsening..
I can understand how Satoshi feels, wanting to release his desperate, uncontrollable emotions.
But, when faced with her lover's change, and unable to change in her love for him, it's very painful!
So, if there is no possibility of hope, choosing to let go would probably be easier
But even if his body became like this, she still loves him, and cannot leave..
Being able to completely understand each other at the end was great.
Wanting to respond to Haruka who is hugging him, Satoshi tried to lift his hand and couldn't, that scene was really sad (tear)
But, the inevitable goodbye, next episode, it's finally going to be here.
The way it is, I'm a bit worried about Haruka when she looses Satoshi.
We're starting to see some of Tachibana-sensei's past as well.
Just when Tachibana-sensei was starting to gain confidence in his work, came the incident with the 24 week pregnant woman who gave birth to her child under difficult conditions.
He was ordered to insert the tube, not to save life, but for the sake of gaining experience.
Because of this, Tachibana was in a lot of pain.
The strong feeling of wanting to save the child, and forcing himself to understand this life can't be saved, the pain that came from this conflict...
Seeing Tachibana cry for the infant's death, I cried too.
But, it's still not clear what the reason was for him and Mitsui-sensei to split up. Could it have something to do with this?
Faced with his father, who turned and left without saying a word, Aizawa did not follow him.
His grandmother said, Aizawa always believed that he wasn't loved by his parents, that his parents abandoned him.
So, faced with the irresponsible things the woman who was 24 week pregnant said, Aizawa's anger was obvious.
Even when her water broke and she gave birth, she still did not feel the reality of having a child.
Seeing this, "Parents like you are not needed. A child can survive all by himself."
In his heart there must have been irrepressibly strong emotions.
Why did his father abandon his family and leave?
From the conversation with his grandmother, Aizawa's mother may have committed suicide by jumping off a building?
There are still a lot of unknowns about Aizawa's past.
Regarding the woman's concerns about not being able to bring up her child properly, what Aizawa said made me cry
"As long as you're together, it's enough.. As long as you're together..."
During sport days, Aizawa had to do the three legged race with his teacher, this kind of pain
People who don't have this kind of experience cannot possibly understand. He really had a lonesome childhood.. (tear)
Finally, the Nixon problem is still unresolved (lol)
What will happen there? I really wonder. The discussion with the three of them face to face, this must be aired!
