So we have begun our big vacation of the summer-- 5 days in PA at Hersheypark (really only 2 days and one evening at the park) with two other families. Then I'll be driving the two dudes all the way to MI by my lonesome to stay with my folks Friday-Friday (Bryan will fly to Grand Rapids on Wednesday). The parents are here. I love them. I do.
But one is Super Captain Grumpy Pants all the time and the other is Grandparent Sleep-A-Lot (as in, sleeps in until woken up at 10, then takes a nap at 1, then goes to bed early and still talks about not getting a good nights' rest ( Read more... ) -

It only took a month.
But Evan's glasses are broken.
Stupid 3rd grader at basketball game threw a ball at his head when he wasn't looking during warm-ups, and they were cracked before the game even started. Guess this is why we were supposed to get sports frames. Oops.

Feeling rather craptacular lately. I don't enjoy going to work at all... there are a few moments here and there, but generally, I just feel depressed about it. I can only explain it like this: it's like I'm back in middle school and I'm filled with dread at the end of each weekend. A student of mine is working as an extra in a movie currently filming in Rhode Island, and when he stopped by on Friday to tell me why he wouldn't be in class, he didn't know who was in it, but I DID!!!!! So, yesterday, on the way to pick up Thing 1 and Thing 2 from school, the husband called me. "Turn on LiteRock 93.3" he told me. And so, yesterday at 2:45, I learned that one of our local stations had switched its format from crap-tacular light rock (ugh) to ALL CHRISTMAS ALL THE TIME UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!
