Human Target, TV meme, DW dream and the pug army

Jan 20, 2010 00:12

So, I kept seeing ads for the new Fox show "Human Target," and thinking they must be parody ads for some new series about the silliness of Hollywood, because it just looked so plastic and fake. Ultimately, I set my DVR to grab its preview on Sunday, just to see if it was for real.

It so, so was. )

Sadly, they did not remove the 1970s.

I saw about a minute of "Human Target" during the beginning, when he was smart-mouthing the guy with the gun, and heck, *I* wanted to shoot him, so I turned it off because the bad man with the gun should've shot him and didn't and I gave up.

I also sing the theme to "The Nanny." It's on late at night on Nickelodeon and I can't help it. I didn't watch much when it was originally on, and now I'm catching up. Who knew Fran and Mr. Sheffield got married?!? And I love that little Gracie now takes her top of on "Californication."

And I Love Lucy. And the X-Files. and yes.

I knew that Fran and Mr. Sheffield got married. I ... may just have shown my most shameful shipper card there.

Your icon is awesome.

I'm an "I Love Lucy" fan from way back. I'd have answered it to the "oldest show I still like" question as well. I can recite the "Vitameatavegamin" speech. I'm a freak. I wish I could take credit for the awesome Lucy artwork in the icon but it was ... the info's on my icon page. A guy named Hammerlein did it! I saw his artwork somewhere, and went to his page and THERE WAS LUCY so I stole her.

Her husband has come with her, and is so obviously weaselly and less attractive than her that it is wholly obvious that he will ultimately prove to be the killer.

Right? And then I felt bad for automatically assuming that. Whatever, that show got me Tricia Helfer looking absolutely gorgeous for an hour, totally worth it.

And do you mean this reaction shot?

Sometimes I think this might be my favorite ever moment of television.

Don't mind me, I'm just sitting here, watching this over and over again.

essentially a redo of Ten's finale

I initially read this as "rodeo of Ten's finale." Which could be interesting.

Well, it couldn't have been any worse.
