Human Target, TV meme, DW dream and the pug army

Jan 20, 2010 00:12

So, I kept seeing ads for the new Fox show "Human Target," and thinking they must be parody ads for some new series about the silliness of Hollywood, because it just looked so plastic and fake. Ultimately, I set my DVR to grab its preview on Sunday, just to see if it was for real.

It so, so was. )

Oh my gosh, "Double Trouble"! I loved that show. I'd nearly forgotten about it. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

Human Target was pretty boring. But it gave me Tricia. So that was awesome.

Even with her, they'd made her look as generic as possible. You'd think somebody would snap her up, wouldn't you?

Yeah. I wish she would get her own show already.

When at long last I assemble my pug army, so shall they be outfitted. All will love them and despair.

Wow. Just...wow. That is orders of magnitude more awesome than the bride I saw on an episode of Platinum Weddings this weekend (what? It was rainy outside and there was a marathon!) where the bride spent $2,250 on a bridal party outfit for her *Maltese*.

I love Mark Valley, because of Keen Eddie, and to a lesser extent Boston Legal. But in both of those he was used wisely and well. So I watched Human Target, and was so disinterested in it I totally missed the fact that the woman was Tricia Helfer.

The title credits, even, are mystifying. Fairly cool graphics, over the slowest, trumpetyest, not-even-remotely-right-for-an-action-show music.
