Well yes, the entire little ficlet was lovely -- I love the idea of Spock coming to Earth with nothing but a duffel bag with some clothes ( especially because it fits so well with him -- an emotional attachment to certain objects isn't very Vulcan now, is it? ). But this one line was worth a grin and a scribble onto an index card ( which is where all my one-liners from fics end up ).
And the idea that when you're new in a place, it doesn't really matter where you're heading. I do a lot of traveling, and it struck me as how true that can actually be.

I was sent a SW story a while ago to read. I was warned that it had explicit sex and some violence in it. That's par for the course if it's a good Han/Leia action story, right? Heck, I'm HOPING for some smutty sex! Well, I'm getting into it (it's written well) and suddenly it's a violent alien raping Leia story, in all the gorely details. WTF?? I was traumitized WITH her. I did NOT appreciate this. I explained to the author that she needed to adjust her warnings because they weren't remotely accurate.
