Aw, I love this. While I am all about the Spock/Uhura right now, the friendship between Spock Prime and Uhura Prime deserves its own shout-out. Nicely done!

Spock's going to be the rest of the night analyzing the data from the anomaly they'd passed earlier in the day, and Uhura knows the inflection of his voice well enough to tell this is the sort of "fascinating" that would bore her to tears. Still, she's self-sufficient; she doesn't need to be around him always, and she thinks it's a good idea to get to know some of her other crewmates a little better

This is awesome. I love the fact that, as fond as she is of Spock, she knows she needs humanity in her life. And I think it is so dead-on that Sulu never folds.

Leonard was jerked roughly out of sleep by a blast of light. He squinted his eyes open, trying to figure out why Jim had turned on all the lights fuller than full--but Jim was tangled up in the sheets next to him, one pillow under his head and one jammed down over his eyes.
“Typical,” Leonard grumbled.
As his eyes adjusted, he realized what the light was--actual honest-to-God sunlight. The Enterprise had orbited around the Earth into the sun’s path, creating not so much a sunrise as a sun attack. The windows were presumably treated to prevent any actual damage to humanoid bodies, but Leonard gave a quick thought to the effects of solar radiation on vision anyway
