The beach walk was excellent. Wind so strong we sometimes had to turn our backs to it to be able to breathe; waves crashing, the spray being pummeled into salty mist by the storm's fury; the forces of nature assailing all our senses with their raw power.
Also, Zoe was very amused by the fact that she got to wear galoshes in a gazebo.
I had declared today a jammie day, but that wind storm out there is just too inviting. Zoe and I are going to bundle up and walk down to the waterfront.
That's better. Between finally getting the tree up and decorated and discovering the best Xmas music EVAR on Xmas in Frisko I'm starting to catch the holiday spirit.
Is it my imagination or does there seem to be a distinct lack of holiday spirit this year? I know I'm having a hard time mustering any- I haven't even set the tree up, and I usually do that in the first week of December. I'm kind of just waiting for it all to be over with.
