My Doctor

As much as I hate to think that David Tennant is leaving Doctor Who, I can understand his reasons behind it. But would it be so bad for him to just say 'ah one more!' would have been amazing if he'd finished his time as 10 with a full season...*sigh ( Read more... )

you weren't a fan of her? I wouldn't mind seeing her come back, I just don't think they will. Though I am interested to see who he will travel with.

We do have the specials next year. Only the Christmas 2008 has been shot...

This is true, I'm really looking forward to seeing the Christmas special this year.

Do you know what day it airs? [I haven't been caught up in the show until after the 4th season started]

ha! that was probably a dumb question, though I didn't actually think it would air on Christmas.

It's worth noting that Alex Kingston doesn't seem to do much more than guest spots these days, and most of those are in the States. Having her as anything but a guest star would be difficult and perhaps expensive.

They knew this at the time. I suspect it's deliberate, so they can allude to off-screen adventures, which is good for the creative juices and sales of spin-off media.

Be nice to see her in an 'X-doctors' special, especially as River Song knows all about regeneration. Might happen, probably won't.

I have to admit I kind of like the idea of her travels with the Doctor being shrouded in mystery, it adds further depth to the show. Gives writes out there a lot to play around with [Not like the show doesn't already give that]

She was in Lost in Austen for the entire series playing Mrs Bennett.

Ehhh....welll.... I'm not particularly concerned seeing as I really didn't like those episodes, but it does pose continuity issues. *sigh* Oh well.

True, but I'll be curious to see how the specials work out. I have some issues with Moffat, but I won't go into that here. ;)

you can if you want too, I remember talking to you about those two episodes, but I don't remember if I asked you if you liked any of the other ones he's done.

Sarah Jane as one example or did the Doctor have to tell her who he was? I can't remember off the top of my head
