It's getting lovely and cold now. Time for thick jumpers and woolly scarves and snuggling :o) A time when the sunset bounces off the clouds making them translucent and pink. When the wind blows down from the north and makes my cheeks tingle and glow. I love this time of year when dusk reflects the orange of the leaves and the wind and the rain

Yes, I've noticed precisely the same thing up in the Midlands today. There's that nip in the air that reminds you that winter's coming. Weirdly, we're singing a Christmas piece called 'Hodie' in Chorus this term, and so we started rehearsing it three weeks ago. All the stuff about Jesus in a manger seemed out of place in early October.
