Loveeeeeyyy!!! This is what I love about your stories - you come up with different things, like Jack not knowing Tony's married. It's such a small detail, but it changes a lot for the characters. Hate to repeat myself (and yet, I constantly do that) - loveeeeeeeeyyy! :D
Oh, and was Ryan ever anything but an ass? I mean, excluding the "Quick, I'm dying, let me be nice to someone" phase that every 24 asshole goes through before they die... (see also: Lynn McGill)
I think I might take this idea and make an ongoing story with it. This tv show I watched when I was little gave me the idea. These two people had to secretly marry. It'd be good angst I think.
Nice. Interesting idea to have them secretly married, that hasn't been done so was a good original idea. Would they have been able to get away with it though? I thought that they wouldn't be able to apply for a marriage licence without CTU knowing about it, with them having access to all databases etc. Although I might be reading too much into it. lol
( ... )
I'm not sure if you're familiar with the show Scarecrow and Mrs. King from the 80s, but that's where I got the idea. I've been rewatching it and in the show he's an agent and they have to hide their marriage. I thought it would have been something to add a bit of depth to the couple that we didn't get to see much of in the actual show.
As for why Jack is so supportive, my Jack remembers what it's like to lose his wife. While they aren't exactly close, I do think Jack and Tony shared a special connection through what happened to them. He doesn't want Tony to feel what he had to feel. And it's Jack. He always has a plan to get everything to work.
I've thought about making this another story, so I might. But I got A LOT of stuff to do first. I got way too many damn ongoing stories, lol.

I love how proud Tony was that Jack didn't know about the marriage :D

I figure after the whole Nina thing, if he can get something past Jack, it's a win. =)
