But you know, if this were the real 24 universe (yes, the sucky one), I can remember one thing that probably would've gotten him couch duty. Cause seriously, Almeida - do not tell people what kinds of one-the-job mistakes your wife might've made while you were in frickin' surgery to repair blood vessels in your NECK.

Yeah,he was such an ass in that moment. Actually, I think his whole sulky attitude for those few hours made him a bit of a hypocrite. He throws a tantrum over the fact that after what Kim said to her, she questioned his effectiveness to Ryan, preaching how she should know he wouldn't compromise CTU..Yet, for however many months before that day, he's been keeping secrets from her, lying to her, deceiving her etc about Mexico, because Jack Bauer told him to? Always thought that was unfair and mildly hypocritical (Of course it's totally eclipsed by Jack's hypocrisy that Season)
Yeah, I think he would have been on the couch after that little outburst... For the half a night or so until he'd be compelled to beg her forgiveness, anyway. lol
Yeah I really wish they hadn't made all their time together during that season so shitty. I mean, I get the angst stuff but that wasn't really angst. As Nick pointed out, it was kinda bad writing if you ask me. But I don't think they planned much of anything out too much anyway since he goes to jail for doing the exact same thing as Jack. Just doesn't make sense.
She'd have kicked his ass for sure. Then of course they'd have "you didn't die in surgery" sex.
Honestly, I think they both made their share of mistakes. I tried to figure that out:
Tony wouldn't have gone to jail if he hadn't made the decision to play along with Saunders' demands. Michelle got captured because she went to the Chandler Plaza Hotel, which she only seemed to do to show Tony she was badass. Of course, she never would've needed to prove that if he hadn't been so patronizing. Then again, they're government agents and I suppose if somebody tells you to keep a secret, you do it. And Michelle shouldn't have freaked out about that, because that's exactly what she did in season 2, when she helped Jack for hours before Tony figured it out. And he even ended up on crutches. :D
So, if you ask me, they both made their fair share of mistakes, but that "obviously Europe WAS a priority" thing, that was totally out of line. Possibly a reason why you shouldn't leave a hospital while you're on painkillers after six hours of surgery.
For some reason this universe has been at the forefront of my mind lately. I'm not done with Dark Magic by any means but SML is just so much fun to play in.

Lucky for him, they tossed him in jail first.

Smoking hot Almeida FTW. Also, didn't realize how much I miss RDA until I saw your mood.
