It's so weird though...I'm done with class, but I still have two finals, and I have to pack, and I'm not even leaving the city until New Years' so it just doesn't feel like the semester should be over ( Read more... )

i like how awkward the last two sentences are. i literally was like *breathing in through teeth* ouuuch. but stories like those are great when you finally land the big bass you've been trying to catch in that big dating sea for so long. i like my single stories, i have some good ones too. i saw one of my single stories in the mall today... it was awkward. i love awkwardidityness. did i just call kc a bass? he'll never know.

Well, our reading day is a day between classes and exams where nothing is scheduled so people can study. However, I've known people to have exams on reading day, so it's actually kinda stupid.

We only have one reading day first semester (today!!)-- second semester we get a week. Then self-scheduled exams start tomorrow, and scheduled ones start Sunday. Whoo.

My parents are being dumb and are making us visit my brother over break, so we are using up our free Disney passes then. Then they told me, "it just doesn't make sense to have to go to Disney twice in 6 months". Clearly, they don't know how life works :)

Happy first night of Channukah tonight!

Thanks! BTW...what is a self-scheduled exam?!?

And you have exams on weekends? That sucks!

Lots of profs, instead of doing take-homes, will do a self-scheduled exam. It's still closed-book, etc, just like taking a regular exam, but you can pick your day and time (there are slots at 9:30, 2pm, and 7pm) to take the test, just show up, take it, and turn it in... it helps if you test better at a certain time, and that way profs don't have to set an assigned time to take it, or give a take home that may not ever come back into his hands because kids lose it, etc. It's a really great way to take exams, and really supportive of our honor code.

Yeah, weekend exams are the worst. Self-scheduled slots start tomorrow morning, and go until Friday morning. Except, my lovely Archaeology prof scheduled our exam for Sunday afternoon. Bugger.
