More Space!

Well, today I gained a new Garbage Disposal and lost a couch and bookcase/nightstand. My friend Lee came out from Modesto to take the couch - a 2-person over-sized love-seat - home. My only price? Help me put the disposal in

I love our POANG chair & footstool. They're crazy comfortable and pretty sturdy for IKEA furniture.

Yeah, one of my best friends has two chairs and one footstool. (or had, I only saw one chair at his place last time I was there.) They're the epitome of comfort, really, and I can sit in them for longer periods of time and not get as warm as my cozy la-z-boy.

My only question is ... Birch, Beech, or Oak veneer? I'm getting the Natural cloth coverings, but the wood.... I'm leaning toward Birch or Oak at the moment.

Oh, my silly brain. The first thought was that you had used your new garbage disposal to grind up your couch and bookcase. After all, your mood was "chipper".

Garbage disposals are pretty handy. I was really tempted to go for one when we renovated our kitchen, but they eat up a lot of under-sink space, and adding in the extra outlet would also have been rather inconvenient. Glad to hear that yours is all installed and working well!

My new one is the same HP as the old one, but about half the size and just as noisy. It's pretty much hard-wired to the wall, so we hadda use wire-nuts. We also were able to use the old flange (they're standard sizes now) and most of the old piping tho, so that helped considerably.
