More Space!
Well, today I gained a new Garbage Disposal and lost a couch and bookcase/nightstand. My friend Lee came out from Modesto to take the couch - a 2-person over-sized love-seat - home. My only price? Help me put the disposal in.
We got it in, fairly painlessly, after two trips to Home Depot. Fortunately for us, Home Depot is only about a mile and a half from here, so the trips were short.
Fortunately for me, Lee did all the work. :-)
So now, I have a working garbage disposal in my sink again, and a big hole in my living room where the couch and nightstand used to be. It was called a nightstand, but I used it for an entertainment center. I'm not sure what Lee will use it for.
I can't wait to get the new POÄNG chairs and POÄNG footstool. I'm going to put the both of them where I had the couch. I'll put a set of nested tables between them. I'm thinking of these round ones I saw at Ikea a long time ago - I hope they still carry them. (I don't see them on their website.)
But until I get the new furniture, I still have a problem with all the trash I have in that room. Yeah, without the couch there to keep things organized, the place looks like a trash heap. Literally. Cleaning up the room will be my task for tonight after I get home from work. My rubbish bin outside will be full by the time I go to bed, no doubt.
