I just caught up with TW last night and was thinking how Jack has been so unimportant in this series as compared to all the previous ones. I've also been disappointed in JB's acting. He's very lackluster, although I think that's partly the dialogue. "a sort of mean-spirited comic relief" - god, that's so true. *sigh* He has some really weird lines, usually about something gay-related. What is up with that - it's really been annoying me.

the alien is in a flashback - when was there an alien? I was also thinking how sci-fi free this series has been.

I thought the last episode was one of the worst.

The alien is in ep7 Someone described it as a cross between a miniature sandworm and an angry penis and that's about spot on.

I have watched every episode of miracle day now with an increasing urge to reach through the TV and strangle every single character. -.-

It's been a while since a show's made me actively angry. The last one was.. oh.

CoE.

*damnit*.

I don't want to make more predictions because I've been wrong so far (about Vera). I thought Vera would be around to resuscitate Rex when the miracle was resolved ( ... )

Jack is always a plausibly recycled character. Even if he does die and everyone thinks it's permanent, he can always pop up again (clawing his way out of the ashes!) like an X-rated jack-in-the-box. Which, I'd buy ;)

Spoilers for ep7 suggest that Gwen's hard choice is not limited to her dad.

I thought that Rex was healing, so that by the time this show ends, he'll be well enough to survive? I mean, sure some guy stuck a pen in him but holding your breath on logic in MD would put you Category 1.

Eeek on the spoilers! I mean, letting your dad who's had multiple heart attacks die is very tough and sad, but having had a parent with a DNR who died, it's kind of expected, and Geraint is clearly suffering. It was probably his time when the miracle hit.

Yeah, I think Rex could probably survive, but it's always iffy, and he's not afraid to take risks with his life, so he could get worse. Now I want a character study about Rex and how he views his mortality after almost dying, contrasted/compared with Jack.

An x-rated Jack in the box! OY.

I'm pretty sure (as in who knows with this show) that they wouldn't have brought up the fact that Rex was healing if he wasn't going to survive. It hasn't been mentioned with anyone else, has it?
